Glass + Ceramic – Next Generation of the Coating Protection

We are glad to offer the exciting nanotech Glass + Ceramic protection. This invisible coating has enormous hydrophobic and oleophobic properties, which effectively repel liquids and particles of contamination such as grease and oil, lime-scale and materials from environmental pollution that would otherwise adhere to glass surface. This creates an “easy-to-clean” effect and negates the need for repeated cleaning and the use of chemical cleaning agents.

This clear coating is engineered specifically for all indoor and outdoor glass, ceramic and porcelain surfaces. These innovative coatings contain specifically modified functional nanoparticles that self-assemble and produce a two-dimensional net matrix on the surface that becomes both hydrophobic (water repellent) and anti-stick. It prevents the build-up of dirt, soap scum, limescale, salt, chlorine, and other contaminants. It can be used for shower screens, windows and mirrors, as well as other non porous surfaces like ceramic wall and floor tiles (including grout), basins, baths, toilets and kitchen splash backs. Because water won’t sit on the surface, fungus and mould can’t develop, resulting in the surfaces remaining hygienic and visibly pleasing.

Nanotech Glass + Ceramic protection extremely cost effective and enhances inherent durability of glass and ceramic as well as reducing drastically the likelihood of damage and the need for costly replacements.

This innovative coating is abrasion resistant and will help protect glass and ceramic surfaces from etching and the effects of weathering when used outdoors. The coating is completely UV Stable and cannot peel, flake, crake or discolour at any time making it ideal for external windows, balustrades, skylights and swimming pool fences.

It is designed to reduce cleaning times (by up to 90%) and negate the need to regularly use household and commercial chemical cleaners. A quick wipe down with a damp cloth is all that is needed to keep coated surfaces clean. This is not only good for our environment but reduces water usage as well. Detergents can still be used from time to time and will not affect or damage the nano coating in any way. It can be applied to new as well as established surfaces and re-applied as necessary as the effects of the coating start to diminish.

Quick spray and wipe process can be performed by any homeowner easily. Usage rate is approximately 10mls per m2. It is stable at varying temperatures but is best applied at temperatures above 4°C. Recommended curing times will increase with increased humidity. The treated surface will be frost and temperature resistant.

Whether used during or post construction, it can be used to ensure a cleaner all year round appearance and minimise ongoing maintenance costs associated with cleaning both internally and externally.

Our Recommendations:

  • Nanotech Glass + Ceramic coatings should be stored in a sealed container, away from light, ideally within the temperature range +5 to +25°C.

  • Work in small sections at a time and thoroughly rub in the nano coating as applied until the entire surface has been coated. Do not over apply or use too much product as this is not required. Do not apply a second coat. Avoid applying in wet and windy conditions.

  • Glass + Ceramic requires 30 – 60 minutes to cure during which time the surface should remain completely dry and untouched. In more humid conditions, curing time will be longer. After curing, the coated surface should be polished or wiped down with a soft cloth and if necessary with Pre Cleaner to remove any remaining silanes or residue. The surface will be at its most effective after 24 hours and should be kept dry during this time if possible.

Directions to use:

  • Wear gloves
  • Prepare surface with NTIG pre cleaner
  • Shake bottle before applying to a clean& dry surface
  • Avoid application in direct sunlight or overheated surfaces
  • Spray small surface & rub it in thoroughly in circular motion using the application cloth. Repeat until the entire area has been treated
  • Avoid applying too much coating. Recommended usage rate is 10ml/m2
  • Allow to dry/cure for minimum 60mintutes
  • Ensure surface stays dry & untouched during the curing period
  • After drying lightly buff the surface with a clean microfiber cloth to remove any residues
  • Protective coating will reach its optimum within 24hrs. Keep dry if possible, during this period
